Expert says, NEET 2022 is likely to increase the duration of the exam.

For the first time, the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 is likely planning to extend the duration of the NEET-UG exam. NEET 2022 to have 20 extra minutes this year.

Earlier, the duration of the NEET exam was 3 hours, now, including the option of an extra 20 minutes shall add value to the striving medical aspirants. The NEET-UG exam is conducted to test the accuracy of the aspirants. For about three hours, students were under peer pressure to answer each question in just a minute. Considering this scenario, getting 20 minutes extra will be great relaxation for the students.

NEET 2022 will be conducted in as many as 14 exam centers outside India. Thereby allowing the foreign nationals to take up the entrance test. The upper age limit for the exam has also been removed for those who have cleared class 12th with science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology to take the entrance exam.

If there is an increase in the duration of the exam, it will increase the competition as there will be a rise in students appearing for the exam. Students who have the speed to solve the answers soon can expect to score high with the increase in the duration of exam time.

One of the worst fears that the medical aspirants get to face is not having enough to go through all the questions. Thereby they might not be able to answer the very familiar questions. It is very difficult for the students to answer all the 180 questions within the framed timing of 180 minutes. This constraint of time management affects the student's score, which in turn affects their ranking. The extension of timings in the NEET 2022 exam shall be favorable for the students.

These benefits given shall increase the inflow of students across the medical colleges in India. The increase in the duration of NEET 2022 will help the students to attempt extra questions.
