As per the official Press Release by CBSE, the board has reiterated the importance of giving students enough time to prepare for the exam, make their study plans and overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic by releasing the date sheet 3 months early.
The Press Release states that enough time has been given to students between two subjects to lessen the stress and give them more time to prepare better for the 10th and 12th Board Exams.
Also, the Class 12 Board Exam will be conducted in two shifts to reduce the crowding of the students in the exam centres. Also, in a second shift, examinations on 04 days will be conducted. On these days, during the morning shift, the examination of class 10 for the main subjects will be conducted.
A maximum number of examination centres will be operating in the morning shift with a few of the others operating in the afternoon shift as well.
Also, to minimize the overcrowding of staff and de-burden them of their tasks, staff who has not been allowed a single morning shift will be working in the afternoon shift.
One of the highlights is the duration of the exam. This year, the entire duration of the Class X and XII Board exam will be conducted over 39 days, 6 days lesser than the last year.
A total of 75 subjects will be conducted for the Class X board exam and a total of 111 subjects will be conducted for the Class XII board exam. The entire date sheet has been prepared in a way to avoid confusion and overcrowding at any of the centres and also mandates each centre to follow strict Covid-19 guideline and protocols.
