NEET 2021: Qualifying cut-off score for MBBS admission

NEET 2021 was successfully conducted on September 12, 2021, by National Testing Agency (NTA). The cut-off scores for NEET 2021 will be announced on the official website: neet.nta.nic.in. As per the review of experts, the cutoff scores shall be slightly lesser than the previous year. The medical aspirants shall be shortlisted based on the NEET cutoff 2021 to get admission for MBBS, BDS, BSC nursing courses, BVSc, and AH.

The candidates aspiring to study MBBS must obtain NEET 2021 cutoff percentile. According to the statistics, the number of students who took the exam for the previous year was 15,97,435 and only 7,71,500 managed to secure a qualifying NEET score. NTA in consultation with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Dental Council of India ( DCI) might lower the NEET cutoff percentile score if the seats are left vacant.

As per the NEET 2021 cutoff, the admission for All India Quota(AIQ) is 15%, the state quota is 85%, whereas the deemed/Central University, AFMS/ESIC, JIPMER, and AIIMS will be handled by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). NEET 2021 Marking Scheme

Candidates must be clear about the question paper pattern. As per the NEET 2021 question paper pattern, the question paper shall consist of 200 questions, out of which candidates must attend 180 questions. The exam consists of three sections, which are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology among which each subject will have two sections, section A consists of 35 mandatory questions, section B consists of 15 questions out of which the candidates will have to attend 10 questions. The total marks in NEET 2021 are 720.

Marking Scheme in NEET 2021

Before calculating the marks, candidates must be aware of the marking scheme of NEET -2021 and then calculate the total marks.

With the above system of Calculating the total number of correct and wrong answers, Candidates shall be able to calculate the marks. With the proper number of correct and wrong answers, they can make use of the formula provided below, to calculate the total marks in NEET 2021.

Total Marks= (Number of correct answers)*4 - (number of wrong answers)*1

With the help of subject-wise experts, the National Testing Agency (NTA) shall confirm the number of correct and wrong answers. While there may be certain situations, where the expert may have questions that might not have correct answers. NTA will release notification, irrespective of such situations the candidates who have attempted such questions will be awarded full marks. Regardless of the change in marks that are calculated using the above formula, the total marks for NEET 2021 will remain at 720

The NEET 2021 Cutoff score shall be announced on the official website along with the results of NEET 2021. To clear the medical entrance examination the candidates should have scored the minimum NEET cutoff score, which is set by the board for the respective academic year. NEET 2021 Cut-off for government medical colleges

Aspirants who prefer to seek admission to government colleges must know the NEET 2021 Cutoff. The candidate shall possess a high rank and equivalent score for securing a seat in government colleges.

• There are about 280 government colleges in India, which offer around 42000 seats. With the statistics, 33 students compete for one government seat.
• Whereas the number of private medical colleges in India is about 580 providing about 80200 seats. Comparatively, 17 students compete for one private medical college seat.

The above-mentioned cut-off scores are tentative. There is no definite rule to get MBBS admission in private medical colleges. The colleges shall display the merit list of the candidates based on your NEET Results 2021.

Always keep in mind that the higher the marks, the lower the fee. For a NEET score of 400+, the approximate fee shall lie in the range of INR 7,00,000-8,00,000 for a year.
