Result Declared for FMGE 2020 December Session
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) on 18th December 2020 has announced the results of FMGE 2020 for the December session. The FMGE 2020 for the session of December was conducted on 4th December 2020 and has registered the highest number of students appearing for the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination till date.
A total of 19,122 students appeared for FMGE 2020 December session, one of the largest number of students to have appeared for the exam. The result was published online by NBE, the concerned authority who conducts this exam twice a year. The FMGE 2020 December Session saw an increase both in the number of students appearing for the screening test as well as the passing percentage as compared to the FMGE 2020 June Session. Not just the number of students appearing for the exam has increased but also the passing percentage of the students have also increased since the last exam.
Like the previous years, the FMGE 2020 cut-off for the December session was set at 150 out 300. The cut-off is the minimum score a student has to score to qualify for the exam. As per The FMGE 2020 exam pattern, the paper is divided into two sections A & B, each of 150 marks summing up to a total of 300. The FMGE 2020 cut-off has been set at 150 out of the total marks. Students scoring 150 or more are declared Passed and students scoring 149 or less are marked Failed.
In the FMGE 2020, a total of 19122 students appeared out of which 3722 passed taking the passing percentage from 9% in the FMGE 2020 June to 19.46% in the FMGE 2020 December. Out of 19122, 13713 students failed, 546 students were marked absent and 1141 students have either been marked cancelled or their results have been withheld. The FMGE 2020 December result published by the NBE has the roll number of the candidates along with their score and status of their results. 253 out of 300 is the highest individual score registered in this term.

As NBE has made it online, the FMGE 2020 result is very accessible to all the students. The result has details like the Candidate’s roll number and pass/fail status. Follow the below steps to download the result of FMGE 2020 December:
- Open the official website of the National Board of Examinations: https://nbe.edu.in/
- Open the link for FMGE 2020 to check the result.
- Once, they click on the FMGE 2020 result link, they will be redirected to another window where they will be prompted to fill-in with their login details.
- Enter the login credentials to access your result.
- Click on submit.
- The FMGE 2020 result will be displayed on your screen with the roll number of the candidates and the status of pass/fail.
- Save the pdf or take a print out as perusal for future references.
Being the only licensure examination for the students who have pursued MBBS abroad, clearing FMGE enables the students to practice medicine in India. However, it is to be noted that the students should be Indian or Overseas Citizens of India.
