Students from Ukraine returning to the Philippines: War Tension prevails for International Students
NMC issued a notice against the Philippines Medical Colleges on the 4th of last month. Students who got their admissions done before November and were waiting for the process of counseling are now returning to Davao Medical School Foundation. Those who are planning to travel to Ukraine and the surrounding neighboring countries are now returning to the Philippines to join the course amid the war tension.
For students who are in touch with the consultants, may be instructed regarding the pre-medical course that has been started from November, feel free to join. Before the admission process starts for the next year, the situation in the court shall be rectified. The credible sources from the Supreme Court say that the court shall consider the last year's record and other important points that the highest number of passers in India are the students studying at Philippines Medical Colleges.
Air India is all set to operate three special flights to Ukraine, i.e. from February 22nd-24th for three consecutive days to rescue the large number of Indians, which includes Indian Medical students studying in Ukraine who will be returning to India. The restriction over the number of flights to be operated between India and Ukraine has been removed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
With the increase in demand for the flights, Indian students are asked to coordinate with the student contractors for any updates on charter flights. The Indian embassy has advised that Indian citizens must look for any available charter or commercial flights to get out of the country. As a matter of safety, Indian students are asked to leave Ukraine as soon as possible.
